Moneygram Sex Tape Scam

When you combine dating and the internet, bad things happen. This isn’t to say that online dating is something to not try out, but that emotion often trumps logic when people communicate with online personas.

MoneyGram is warning online dating participants just how bad those emotions can get. Reportedly, scammers create fake online profiles, build a relationship with their victims, ask them to create a sex tape, and then force them to pay them via MoneyGram or risk the tape being released.

If you suspect fraud, call MoneyGram’s fraud department at 1-800-666-3947 or visit www.moneygram-preventfraud.com.
